Interview: Chef at Home, Michael Smith

I was so excited to have the opportunity to interview reknowned Chef and television personality, Michael Smith during his visit to Toronto to promote his new cookbook, Make Ahead Meals. He is such an amazing talent and someone I’ve looked up to as a home chef as well as broadcaster. His cookbooks are a must in any cook’s collection and his new book is all about how to prepare meals ahead of time to make week nights a little easier.

MOSAIC’S Women of Substance

It was a true honour to be part of MOSAIC 2012’s Women of Substance Walk in partnership with INDIVA, a Yorkville fashion boutique. I had an incredible time walking with some awe-inspiring women who were recognized for their contribution to the community. I had the pleasure of walking alongside some outstanding achievers like the talented journalist, Indira Naidoo Harris, Anu Vittal an entrepreneur and MOSAIC festival director, Surbhi Guleria Joshi the Co-founder of the App Lab and TV host, Salima Syereh Virani, editor in chief of MyBindi.com and the honourable community leader Bonnie Crombie (now the mayor of Mississauga).

The fashion show looks were put together by Wendy Dias of INDIVA and it was such a memorable experience to be a part of it. I was truly humbled and honoured to stand beside such incredibly inspirational women in our community.

Interview with Vinay Virmani

Had a great time chatting with Actor Vinay Virmani at MISAFF (Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival) about his film Dr. Cabbie. The movie itself is all about a trained doctor who immigrates to Canada and is unable to practice so he begins to drive a taxi. The film was produced by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and also stars Isabel Kaif.
